The French River Delta Association

The French River Delta Association is a group of seasonal and permanent residents as well as local businesses committed to ensuring the ecosystem within the French River Provincial Park is sustained for future generations.

For many years we have worked with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, the Ministry of the Environment and Killarney Provincial Park on maintaining and rejuvenating fish stocks, campsite maintenance and water quality. The FRDA through its membership and volunteers has been instrumental in stopping a run of the river hydro electric dam project which would have adversely impacted the French River Delta ecosystem. In 2018 the executive worked with the MNRF to keep the community up to date on progress and efforts of eradicating the Parry Sound 33 fire. As well, the Delta Association has worked closely with the Municipality of Killarney with whom they periodically organize Firesmart training for the community.

Annual membership dues are $25 Canadian and are payable to the French River Delta Association. Funds can be e-transferred to Shawn Garrett at shawn.garrett@ca.ey.com
